Rabun Jail and Record Contacts

For a person held in local custody, start with the Rabun County Sheriff's Office or the Rabun County Detention Center. The sheriff's office handles jail administration and open-records requests for sheriff records. Written open-records requests go to Captain Cody Sanders and should describe the record sought as clearly as possible.

The sheriff's open-records process accepts written requests by email, mail, or in person. The office states that it will respond within three business days. If records are not ready right away, the response should give an estimated completion time and cost.
